Local restaurant, Tattersall’s Brasserie, within the popular Broadway Hotel, was recently awarded a prestigious second AA Rosette.

The AA Rosette scheme is long-established to recognise different levels of cooking nationwide and Rosettes are awarded solely by AA Hotel and Restaurant Inspectors with no influence from other guides. Their assessments are based on at least one visit to a hotel or restaurant and of all the restaurants across the UK, it is estimated that only 10% are of a standard which is worthy of one Rosette and above.

AA inspectors visited Tattersall’s Brasserie on 7th December and the second rosette was officially awarded to the restaurant the following day on the 8th December 2015. Head Chef, Eric Worger (pictured), has been working at The Broadway Hotel since March 2013 having previously worked as a sous chef at sister hotel, The Manor House in Moreton in Marsh. Since joining The Broadway Hotel, Eric has formed a great bond with his team, who have now been working together for over 3 years.

Richard Tebay, the General Manager of The Broadway Hotel, said “Eric achieved 1 Rosette in October 2013 after just 6 months at The Broadway Hotel, and with the continued support of his team he has made ongoing improvements to every area of the menu. I’m delighted that Eric and his team have now achieved the well-deserved 2 Rosettes accolade.”

Tattersall’s Brasserie was built within an extension to the period property in March 2012 having previously had only a small restaurant where The Jockey Bar is now located. The refurbishment was led by Michael and Pamela Horton, a local couple who acquired The Broadway Hotel in 1997, when it became their first property within the Cotswold Inns and Hotels group.
