Following their successful debut at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show in 2018, winning a 5 star award, Wallgarden, in collaboration with multi-award winning designer Sarah Eberle, return for 2019 in a prime location on Main Avenue

Their playhouses and interactive garden nurture creativity and childhood imagination – a key theme for the show this year, which heralds the benefits of families and communities getting back to nature and the positive impact it has on their wellbeing.

Wallgarden playhouses and gardens are magical environments that enable families to enjoy being outside all year round. They provide children with a space of their own, tailored to a family’s individual interests.

The garden for the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2019 will showcase two playhouses – ‘The London Shop’ and ‘Hampshire Cottage’ which will sit in bountiful gardens designed by Sarah Eberle. Both of the buildings and garden will be lit by Chelsea based John Cullen lighting.

The ‘London Shop’ playhouse depicts a beautiful period shopfront, based on the Pragnell showroom on Mayfair’s iconic Mount Street. Pragnell has a long history of incorporating nature into their jewellery design, handcrafted in their Great British workshops. The shop itself is a demonstration of Great British craftsmanship, from the decorative features of the facia, to the miniature showcase within, featuring a dazzling display of colourful gems, inspired by the English countryside. With outside space being at such a premium in the vicinity, the tiny pocket of space for the ‘London Shop’ playhouse will feature jewel-like colours and demonstrate what can be achieved within a small area, as well as showcasing what produce can be grown in a city environment and in town gardens.

The ‘Hampshire Cottage’ playhouse focuses on the rural idyll, the kitchen garden and all that it brings and will feature a large play kitchen, in which to create things with the bounty from its adjacent garden. This also includes a miniature AGA, produced by special permission, to encourage role play. The cottage will feature child-sized beautiful and informative tactile items with a horticultural and culinary theme, bringing elements of the garden inside to the kitchen table. It will be a blend of the local Chelsea environment and that of Hampshire, where both Wallgarden and Sarah Eberle are based.

The small-scale ‘Hampshire Cottage’, ‘London Shop’ and Sarah Eberle garden can be found on the Wallgarden stand RHW/623 at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 21–25 May 2019.
