Art and All That Jazz at the Affordable Art Fair!

Friday 13 – Sunday 15 May 2011

Brunel’s Old Station, Temple Meads, Bristol

Following a record-breaking fair* in Bristol last May, the ever-popular Affordable Art Fair returns to Temple Meads next month, with an inspiring collection of contemporary art and a fun packed line-up of activities for the whole family to enjoy.

As well as a huge selection of original paintings, sculpture, photography and prints priced between 40 and 4,000, the Affordable Art Fair is bursting with so much more. New to this year’s Education Programme, Bristol-based Spike Print Studio will be hosting free print and paper making workshops throughout Friday and Saturday, giving visitors of all ages the opportunity to create and take home their own masterpiece.

Friday’s ‘Happy Hour’ will kick off the weekend with half-price entry and a complimentary glass of wine between 6 - 7pm. ‘Art and All That Jazz’ swings back into town on Sunday 15 May, where all, from first time buyers to experienced collectors, can browse to the beat of the art fair with The Eileen Johanna Jazz Band from 1.30 – 4.30pm.

Held under the Victorian arches of Brunel’s Old Station (formerly The Passenger Shed), the Affordable Art Fair features over 55 galleries from the UK, with a particularly strong representation of local South West artists. With an abundance of original art work on show at a broad range of prices, everyone is guaranteed to find something to suit their personal taste and budget, making AAF the hottest art-buying destination in the South West.

AAF’s successful formula of making art accessible to all has become a global phenomenon, with fairs now in London, Amsterdam, Brussels, New York, Melbourne, Singapore, Sydney and Milan.

*AAF Bristol 2010 saw record-breaking visitor and sales figures, with 7,000 people spending 840,000 on original art.
