The BD Jazz Club committee were overwhelmed by the support and success of their First Annual Charity Ball at The Webbington Hotel and Country Club in aid of Afghan Heroes. The event was organized by Bob and Diane of the Burnham District jazz club, who meet at Laburnham House, West Huntspill.
The total sum raised was �1651.50 thanks to the generosity of local businesses in Burnham-on-Sea, Pawlett, Cheddar and Shepton Mallett. A special thank you to Skidmarx Bicycles, Burnham Holiday Village, Shickle Shoes and Haskins for their exceptional kindness in such hard times and to everyone who attended.
