HRH The Princess Royal joined past and present Gloucestershire Olympians and Paralympians to a special Olympians Dinner, sponsored by EDF Energy, held at Cheltenham Racecourse. The event was organised to raise funds for The Boathouse Appeal, a project to raise funds to build a state of the art boat house and training centre for Gloucester Rowing Club, who have developed a enviable reputation for nurturing world class talent. The guests enjoyed speeches from Beth Rodford, Mel Nicholls, HRH The Princess Royal and Kriss Akabusi MBE MA, as well as entertainment from quartet Belle Joue and band The Choice.
