A visit to the thistle Hotel, Rougemont in Exeter is an absolute must for all those brides planning their perfect day. On Sunday 27th February the Hotel will be hosting the Exeter Wedding Fayre to help raise money for Children’s Hospice South West.

The fayre is being organised by the Exeter West Lions Club in conjunction with the Thistle Hotel and runs all day from 10am to 4pm.

For anyone planning a traditional or princess fairytale wedding, with numerous wedding experts and inspirational features this fayre is the place to be for all would be brides.

There’s nothing more exciting than organising your wedding, thinking about the dress, flowers, catering, photographers, entertainment, honeymoon, outfits for bridesmaids and not forgetting the grooms suit to name but a few items to book. What could be more useful than having all of this on show at one venue to help you put together your perfect day.

Valerie Dodd, Lions Club member and organiser of the fayre says:

“We are so pleased to be involved with this event as it supports local businesses offering them a platform to showcase their expertise as well as helping Children’s Hospice South West raise vital funds. CHSW are there for so many local families providing them with a service and support just when it’s needed. It is nice to feel we can be there to support them. Having visited Little Bridge House to see the great work the charity do it was a moving experience and made us believe further in the efforts we go to raise funds for them. We almost feel we can not do enough to support this great cause.”

Entry to the fayre is free and includes two fashion shows from La Bella Bridal of Exeter with wedding dresses, and then mother of the bride and guests outfits and not forgetting suits for the groom and father of the bride. If you are a local business wishing to exhibit at the fayre there are a number of stands still available. For more details and costs to book a stand please contact Valerie Dodd on 07791 335555 or visit the Children’s Hospice South West website www.chsw.org.uk.

The money raised will go to support the vital work at CHSW.

The children and families who use Children’s Hospice South West sometimes face a difficult journey, they come to Little Bridge House in Devon and Charlton Farm in Somerset for a range of palliative, emergency and respite care in a loving, caring environment where they can relax and enjoy spending time together as a family.

Children’s Hospice South West is the only organisation in the South West offering this vital service in a hospice environment and is mostly funded by the generosity of people across the region.
