-Tell us what you’re going to be doing next?

I am hoping to read English at Christ’s College, Cambridge.

-What will you miss most about your time at Christ’s Hospital?

I will miss the strong sense of community here at Christ’s Hospital. This school really does become a second home and your friends an extended family.

-Do you have any advice for other young people thinking about coming here?

I would advise new pupils to sample as many of the extra-curricular activities as possible. Christ’s Hospital provides so many and by virtue of the fact that quite a number take place on site, it is very easy to take them for granted. Definitely join the band; the Christ’s Hospital marching band is one of the most remarkable features of the school.

-Tell us what you’re going to be doing next?

I am hopefully off to university to study aeronautical engineering; the dream is to do forensic stuff. I enjoy being busy and having something to work towards. I love sport and hope to carry on playing or possibly coaching cricket or hockey alongside my career.

-What will you miss most about your time at Christ’s Hospital?

The thing I will miss most is probably the security you get being here, from both the people around you and the staff. Friends here tend to have your back no matter what and that is hard to find elsewhere. The staff are always very helpful pastorally and look out for everyone. Plus I will miss being busy as you always are here.

-Do you have any advice for other young people thinking about coming here?

Work hard, play hard, and then enjoy some time off!

-Tell us what you’re going to be doing next? Next year, I plan to take a year out to earn some money and spend some time with my family again. I plan to keep just as busy with sports and music, as I am someone who loves not having a moment to spare! The next year, I am planning to study dentistry, preferably through the armed forces as my dream is to be a dentist in the army.

-What will you miss most about your time at Christ’s Hospital?

I will miss how easy it is to see your friends, especially this year where my friends live in the room next-door or just down the corridor. I will also miss how accessible everything is; it is so easy here to throw yourself into everything and have a fantastic time doing it, whether it be sport, music or MUN (Model United Nations) – whatever takes your fancy.

-Do you have any advice for other young people thinking about coming here?

When you start, don’t be afraid to join anything; it only takes one hobby to spark a commitment for a lifetime. It can be hard at the beginning being away from home; I personally was very homesick, but it is easily overcome as you make friends really quickly who are there to support you and have fun with. Also, remember that the more things you do, the wider variety of friends you will make and the more opportunities will become available to you.

-Tell us what you’re going to be doing next?

I hope to be going to University College London (UCL) to study economics, hopefully followed by a career in the finance industry.

-What will you miss most about your time at Christ’s Hospital?

I will mainly miss the family feeling that you find within your year group and boarding house, as well as the wide range of sports on offer here, but especially football and rugby.

-Do you have any advice for other young people thinking about coming here?

My advice to any prospective students is to be open-minded, proactive and to take advantage of all that Christ’s Hospital has to offer.
