Harrogate’s spa town heritage is recaptured in a exciting new Roof Top Spa and Garden
Our host for the Yorkshire Life Food & Drink Awards 2017, Rudding Park, one of Yorkshire’s leading luxury hotels, has something very special to celebrate this month.
The hotel in Harrogate introduces its extraordinary Roof Top Spa and Garden, designed by horticulturalist Matthew Wilson, which aims to provide a haven of peace and tranquillity for guests.
The £9.5million spa development which uses natural waters from the hotel grounds, includes a hydrotherapy infinity pool and panoramic sauna overlooking the landscaped grounds. The spa also offers a series of unique mind and sense zones, an indoor swimming pool, hair studio, manicure, pedicure and makeup bar, luxurious spa treatment suites, as well as a lifestyle and gift shop.
And it wouldn’t be complete without a new restaurant, Horto, which offers kitchen garden cuisine with seasonally inspired dishes using produce from Rudding Park’ s own kitchen garden.
Local suppliers have been used as often as possible during the development for architecture and construction and including sauna specialists and shopfitters. Fifty new jobs have been created including spa therapists, spa hosts and reception staff, chefs, restaurant service, housekeeping and gardeners.
Peter Banks, hotel managing director said: ‘Rudding Park has featured in the top three hotels in the UK for 10 consecutive years growing from 20 staff to 250 and £1million turnover to £15million.
