Made at the Fashion School in Brighton and Hove from fabric remnants, the students aged between 8 and 16 years old visited the hospital to deliver their cushions. Dr Simcock said, “Even modern minimally invasive techniques to remove lymph glands during breast cancer surgery can cause some temporary discomfort and altered sensation afterwards. These simple heart cushions provide an enormous amount of relief to patients at a difficult time.”
