Company founders are ambassadors for charity

Rachel Bates and Katie Goodwin – the elegant duo behind global luxury brand ‘Rachel Bates’ and e-boutique www.rachelbatesinteriors.com – held a ladies lifestyle event at Rachel’s home in Mottram St Andrew in aid of the Smartworks Charity Manchester branch, for which they are ambassadors.

Guests enjoyed the delicious new signature brut from Champagne Laurent Perrier, La Cuvee, and sweet canapés while shopping and learning about the fabulous brands that took part in the event to help raise funds and awareness for the Smartworks charity.

Linda Pilkington, of Ormonde Jayne, Bond Street Perfumery, spoke about her amazing journey in business from her childhood in Bowdon to her humble beginnings producing candles in her kitchen at home for Chanel’s boutiques and provided a masterclass in fragrance to help ladies choose their signature scent.

Lisa and Poppy Lloyd-Davis of Lisa Stirling Vintage created a fantastic pop-up shop of their designer collections of clothing and accessories for ladies to try on and purchase.

Rachel introduced all the brands and spoke about the importance of being an ambassador for such a worthwhile and inspiring charity that helps women by providing smart, interview appropriate clothing and training them in interview techniques, to help them back into employment.

Over £700 was raised at this short event, through ticket sales and the charity raffle, gifts for which included a beautifully wrapped Rachel Bates Isadora Champagne Saucer in Peridot Green, from her signature lace-cap hydrangea crystal collection; a Kate Spade handbag donated by Smartworks Charity and Kate Spade; a luxury gift set from Linda Pilkington full of Ormonde Jayne products; a bottle of Champagne Laurent Perrier ‘La Cuvee’; and a £150 voucher for Lisa Stirling Vintage from Lisa and Poppy Lloyd Davis.
