Alderley Edge and Warrington are distinctively different from one another, but can you really tell the difference?
The population of Alderley Edge consists of only a few thousand people, but this doesn’t mean it’s a place where nobody wants to be, in fact it’s quite the opposite. The eye-watering house prices here reflect the ever-increasing demand to live in this exclusive part of Cheshire, making it one of the most desirable places to live in the country.
It’s easy to see why this is the case; there are a number of fine eateries all concentrated within a short distance from one another and it is also in close proximity to the National Trust at Alderley Edge.
The view over the Cheshire Plains from the redstone escarpment is arguably the one of the most photographed views in Cheshire and the woods that are close to The Edge are popular with walkers all year round.
Warrington is Cheshire’s most populated settlement with over 200,000 people living in the area. This rapid expansion has seen many different areas incorporated into the town, Stockton Heath is fast becoming a popular area to live, as well as Lymm and Culcheth.
There are also many outdoor spaces to visit across Warrington, Walton Hall and Gardens remains popular among locals, while walkers and wildlife spotters enjoy visiting Sankey Valley Park, Woolston Weir and Paddington Meadows.
