Guests at the Caudwell Children Ladies’ Lunch enjoyed champagne, shopping and songs in the name of charity
VIPs from the world of TV joined 164 ladies for a fabulous charity lunch at the Mere Golf Resort and Spa, Knutsford.
Guests at the Caudwell Children Ladies’ Lunch enjoyed a champagne reception while browsing luxury stalls of local and national retailers, before a two course gourmet lunch. The event raised £23,000 for the national charity, based in Staffordshire, which provides practical and emotional support for disabled children and their families.
Star of the Real Housewives of Cheshire and supporter of Caudwell Children, Dawn Ward, introduced the charity to the audience before Emmerdale actor Tom Lister hosted and entertained with songs. Guests were also treated to a headline set from BBC One’s The Voice contestant and Eurovision 2016 entrant, Jake Shakeshaft.
Sam Walker, senior events co-ordinator at Caudwell Children, said: ‘It was a wonderful afternoon of fashion, fundraising and exquisite food in a spectacular location. Our headline auction lot, a Jacuzzi spa, went for a whopping £6,500 and we can’t thank those who attended enough for their overwhelming generosity.’
