The 2023 Cheshire Life reader photography competition attracted almost 400 glorious entries of scenes, people and wildlife across the county and North Wales.

Here is a selection of the best, including the top three, chosen by David Parkinson, managing director of Wilkinson Cameras, which sponsored the contest with prizes of vouchers to spend on the ProMaster range of accessories.

Entries for the 2024 competition are now open, To enter, email your .jpg photos in at least 300dpi to photocomp@cheshirelife.co.uk including details of where they were taken, your name, address and telephone number. You must not be a professional photographer and your images should have been taken in the Cheshire Life circulation area, which includes North Wales.
