F1® has never had so many fans. While Silverstone has always been a must-do for die-hard fans of the high-octane sport, the sport itself has recently seen a huge surge in fans, viewing both on screen and flocking to live events across the world. This is down to, of course, Netflix series Formula 1: Drive to Survive, which with its more than seven million viewers globally, has brought a whole new fan base to F1®, for the cars, the drivers and the behind the scenes teams who make it all happen.

Whether you are a long-term fan or new to the sport, the F1® British Grand Prix, held at Silverstone, right in the heart of England and this year taking place on July 5-7, offers all the excitement it is possible to find at a Formula 1® race day - but what can you do to make the occasion really, really special – a stand-out day that will sit in your memory bank for years to come?

The answer lies in choosing the right hospitality package, and for something extraordinary you can get vibes, views and all the F1® excitement you can dream of on Match Hospitality’s Octane Terrace.

Octane Terrace is located on the inside track at the fastest part of the circuit. With a dedicated grandstand and elevated platform, Octane Terrace offers not just one of the very best views of action you could imagine, but also features street food from Michelin star chefs and music from well-known DJs, giving a real festival vibe to the Silverstone experience.

In keeping with the relaxed vibe and festival feels, there’s no sit-down service at Octane Terrace - guests are free to choose from an outstanding array of food and drink outlets as and when they wish. Choose whatever delicious street food takes your fancy throughout the day – all included in the package.

This is no ordinary street food offering though, this is Michelin Star chef street food, from culinary luminaries including Angela Hartnett OBE, Atul Kochhar and Tommy Banks, who you may just see behind the counter putting the finishing touches to their take-away treats. As well as these high-end street food selections, there will be numerous bars and coffee vendors aplenty.

Tommy Banks, chef-patron of Michelin-starred The Black Swan at Oldstead, in Yorkshire, says: “We have a stunning food truck that will be there for the whole weekend serving up some great food. The Octane Terrace offers incredible hospitality alongside some really cool DJs, so there’s always an amazing vibe. Last year was fantastic, and a brilliant day, so I am really looking forward to this year.

“We are really upping our game in terms of our produce on the menu and we’re bringing all the flavours of our farm down to Silverstone. We’ve got sausages made from our pigs reared here on my farm, and we have some beautiful Dexter beef pies. We’ve also got some amazing croquettes to serve. It is going to be special.”

As social events go, this will assuredly be the event of the season, and the hottest ticket of summer.
