A BEAUTIFUL 18th-century mansion in one of Worcestershire's most desirable villages has been listed for sale on Zoopla.

Ombersley Court, a Grade I-listed, 29,000 square-foot manor on the outskirts of Ombersley, is on the market for £13.5 million.

A spokesperson for estate agent Strutt and Parker said: "Ombersley Court is a magnificent Grade I-listed Georgian country house, set within the historic grounds on the edge of the village of Ombersley.

"Impressive features include a stunning Grand Hall, tall sash windows, ornate cornicing and mouldings, and fireplaces throughout, all alongside elegant modern styling and fittings."

The 12-bedroom, 10-bathroom house was originally the home of The Lord Sandys, Samuel Sandys, who had the house built in the 1720s while serving as the MP of Worcester.

Outside the country house, there are acres of land and buildings which are also part of the estate.

The spokesperson said: "The grounds and parkland of Ombersley Court are Grade II listed, and extend to just under 50 acres of rolling parkland and manicured lawns.

"The ground floor of the Grade II* listed stable block is currently used for storage and workshop space, but could provide opportunities for conversion, while the upstairs includes three self-contained apartments, which provide the potential to accommodate guests, staff, or lodgers.

"The gardens and grounds themselves were designed by John Webb in the early 18th century, and include sweeping lawns, an array of mature specimen trees and a walled kitchen garden with a pump room, kennels, and an ice house."
