What first attracted you to it?
We fell in love with Pear Tree Farm as it is not overlooked, situated on its own plot and having a different rural view from every window, it is lovely in every season. We are only two minutes’ drive to the village of Longton or a 15 minute walk. We love to walk our dog on the marsh land around us and stop off at the local cafes or pubs on the way home.

How have you changed the house?
We have renovated the property over the past seven years to serve as the ultimate space for modern family living. In the main house we have added en-suite bathrooms to three of the bedrooms, a bar, cinema room and outdoor kitchen. We have built garages adjacent to a games room and gymnasium. Our office is a separate dwelling with views to the gardens.

What will you miss most about the house?
We will miss the entertainment space and the lovely local people we have made friends with. The view without a doubt. We enjoy the peace and quiet, yet we are only a two-minute drive to the village.

Describe the garden:
With 4.72 acres of landscaped gardens and grounds there are various elements to the outside including a courtyard with seasonal plants and box hedges, a composite decking area that seats a large dining table, a porcelain tiled area which has a hot tub for relaxing and another large decking area with outside seating next to the outdoor kitchen fully equipped including a pizza oven. We look out onto a vast lawned garden which we have hosted many garden parties over the years. There is an additional gate for access at the top of the field perfect for access to horses.
