The Sustainable Soils Alliance recently hosted a hugely successful fundraising evening, with money raised going towards reversing the UK’s soil health crisis
The Sustainable Soils Alliance (SSA), a Bristol-based charity aiming to reverse the UK's crisis in soil health, raised more than £20,000 at an evening hosted by alliance supporters, Yeo Valley, at the Canteen overlooking Blagdon lake.
Tables for a delicious local meal were hosted by Yeo Valley, Burges Salmon, Triodos Bank, Weleda, Pukka and the Real Olive Company.Sir Tim Smit, Eden Project founder, gave the keynote speech on soils, followed by an entertaining auction of unique items and experiences.
The money raised will support the SSA's continuing work on climate change and carbon, biodiversity and soils in the supply chain.
