A LUXURY Yorkshire retreat has unveiled its state-of-the-art wellness and fitness destination.
Following a £12 million investment, Aldwark Manor Estate, based in the picturesque North Yorkshire village of Aldwark, has announced the opening of its brand-new spa, Salus.
Set within the grounds of the historic country estate, Salus will launch next month.

Named after the Roman goddess of safety, wellbeing, and prosperity, the new spa is designed to be a sanctuary for relaxation, fitness, and holistic wellbeing.
Salus will offer both indoor and outdoor facilities, and guests will be able to enjoy spa experiences including a scenic sauna, steam room, and a 15-metre heated swimming pool.
Outdoors, in the new spa garden, visitors can immerse themselves in the hydrotherapy pool or indulge in the outdoor sauna, surrounded by the natural beauty of the Yorkshire countryside.
The new gym is fitted with the latest Technogym equipment, offering a complete fitness experience with advanced cardio, strength, and functional training options.
A fully equipped, unique indoor/outdoor studio will provide space for group classes, ranging from instructor-led yoga and high-energy workouts to on-demand online courses taught via a wellness kiosk. The outdoor workout area will also include stations for circuit training and bootcamps.

Aldwark Manor Estate has also confirmed a partnership with global British skincare brand ELEMIS as its principal spa product range.
ELEMIS products will feature in the spa’s retail range and will be incorporated into treatments when they launch in 2026.
Richard Smith, general manager of Aldwark Manor Estate, said: “The launch of Salus Spa marks an exciting new chapter for Aldwark Manor Estate.
"Our vision has always been to create a sanctuary where guests can relax, recharge, and invest in their wellbeing.

"With world-class facilities and partnerships with exceptional brands like ELEMIS, we are proud to bring a spa experience of this calibre to Yorkshire.”
The £12 million investment in Salus Spa follows the £18 million already invested in the hotel since it was bought by new owners in 2019.
This has included a redesign of the estate’s 18-hole golf course, bedroom renovations, and the launch of its fine dining restaurant, Chartwell.
Chartwell opened in May 2024 and went on to receive 3AA Rosettes and a Michelin recommendation within just five months.
Further information regarding spa membership packages and prices, as well as the official launch date, will be announced later this month.
