One of the UK’s oldest charities, Hannahs, is hosting a Summer of Play Festival at Seal-Hayne, Newton Abbott during July and August this summer.

Hannahs, a charity which has been dedicated to empowering and enriching the lives of children and young adults with disabilities for over 200 years, hope the festival will be a summer of fun for its guests, dedicated to games and play. Highlights of the festival of play include Games Trails, a Kite Festival, Adventurers Club, the Big Water Fight and much more.

Hannah’s guest Dan Hoare added a splash of colour to the patchwork session in the Art room at Seale-Hayne today. Dan is one of the many guests and visitors to Seale-Hayne who have been creating beautiful patches for a patchwork quilt, which will cover The Magnificently Mammoth Storytelling Bed this summer. The giant bed will be the setting for exciting and engaging storytelling sessions as part of the summer of play festival.

The main gallery at Seal-Hayne will also host an exhibition of work by Art Attack TV’s Neil Buchanan, as well as The Toy Story, a collection of must-have toys through the decades as part of The Summer of Play Festival.
