Andoversford Races, 2022
Andoversford Races, the premier point-to-point event in the Cotswolds, returned in April after having to take a long break; the first time they’ve raced since 2019.
The day’s packed programme starred the Robert Hitchins Group Andoversford Grand Annual Chase, a Men's Open race worth £1,000. Robert Hitchins has been title sponsor of the event for nearly 30 years, and welcomes friends and guests to enjoy the racing. The Races also partnered with the Cheltonian Society, drawing attention to Cheltenham College’s rich history of racing connections.
Also hugely popular on the day were the dog agility classes, a parade of the Cotswold Hunt hounds, and a tent-pegging display to showcase another equestrian discipline. With a public bar, food stalls with reasonable prices, and lots of shops to browse, on a fine sunny day, the races were fully back on form.
