Peaky Blinders-themed dance event at Pittville Pump Room
Mobsters and molls in Cheltenham? They came out in their flat caps and flapper frocks for an ‘illicit’ Peaky Blinders-themed Speakeasy swing dance night, at the Pittville Pump Room.
Organised by the Just Jive Lindy Hop dance group, together with The Cheltenham Trust, the 120 guests had a complimentary Gin Fizz on arrival, sponsored by Tivoli’s Gin, then danced the night away to live music from Kim Cypher and her band, one of the UK's most exciting saxophonists, vocalists and performers, having recently played at Ronnie Scott's.
The next big dance event at Pittville Park and Pump Room will be at the Retro Americana Weekend, featuring a 1940s evening filled with fabulous nostalgic swing music from Big R Big Band, on June 24.
