Step out

There’s a guided walk to Calvary on Good Friday – that’s Ilkley’s Calvary and Middleton woods. It’s a folly in a tree-surrounded avenue which leads between carved-stone Stations of the Cross to a shrine adorned, over the years, with simple makeshift wooden crosses. A 3.5-mile guided walk with Barbara Walker starts at 11am at Ilkley Manor House on field and woodland paths and along country lanes.
