Throughout the Easter holidays, Lyme will be hosting a trail that celebrates the historic park’s great outdoors. Follow the garden trail in search of the Easter bunny and discover the best that nature has to offer along the way. The rangers will also be doing engagement activities over the bank holiday.

Delamere Easter Bunny Dash

You’ll have to put down the chocolates and Easter eggs for this one! If you’re after something more active over the bank holiday weekend, then this 5km dash in Delamere Forest is ideal. If an Easter without chocolate sounds dull, then don’t despair as you will be presented with an Easter egg and running medal once you cross the finishing line.

Easter Boat Gathering 2019

The annual boat gathering returns to Ellesmere Port bringing with it a variety of celebrations and also marking the official start of the boating season. The weekend launches with a flotilla of boats from Chester and continues with an exciting line up of live music, family and boat activity. As always, there will be a fine folk programme inspirational workshops and museum activities for all ages.

Egg-chanted Easter Fun

Chester Food, Drink and Lifestyle Festival

The annual festival returns with a programme packed full of foodie delights. Chefs included at this year’s event include Sunday Brunch Star, Simon Rimmer, Great British Menu’s Andi Oliver and Saturday Kitchen presenter, Matt Tebbutt. For the kids there will be three children’s workshops each day hosted by The Academy of Culinary Arts, and as always there will be over 150 artisan food and drink exhibitors.

Knutsford Bunny Hop

Gather the family at this fun event where you will scour across Knutsford to find eight bunnies hidden in among the town centre’s streets. Once found, write the bunny’s name on a postcard and post it into the Heritage Centre’s post box. A number of restaurants, cafes, bars and shops will also be joining in the fun by handing out Easter treats, balloons and dressing up.

Cholmondeley Castle is an ideal destination if you want to spend Easter Sunday with family.
