A day combining idyllic weather and action on the field was enjoyed by over 100 guests at Cheshire Polo Club in Tarporley

Glorious weather greeted spectators and players for the final of the National 4 Goal Championship hosted at Cheshire Polo Club in Tarporley by sponsors Parfums de Marly Paris.

Guests dressed to impress and were greeted with a drinks reception, followed by lunch.

The sought-after Junior County Cup final was played between K & L Polo and A.W. Jenkinson in this important HPA tournament. K & L Polo quickly took advantage and opened the scoring and quickly went into the lead by two goals to one by half-time. They further pressed home their advantage with all the players combining well and some outstanding play by Charlie Walton who sealed the win by five goals to one. The Junior County Cup was presented to the winning team by Kanchan Tooray on behalf of the sponsors Parfums de Marly.

Charlie Walton was named as the most valuable player and the best playing pony was declared as Garibaldi, who is owned and ridden by Katie Jenkinson.The Pilgrim’s Cup subsidiary final was won by DWF Polo who beat Hair Raisers by seven goals to four. The most valuable player was Jonny Coddington and Paul Thomason’s Carla won best playing pony. u
