This festival aims to celebrate gin, fizz and food in the South West, and will be hosted in the stunning surrounds of the Woodlands Castle Venue

Making its debut, Charley Elizabeth Events is proud to present Taunton’s first Gin, Fizz & Food Festival at Woodlands Castle Conference & Events Venue on Saturday June 2.

The festival will take place at the stunning Woodlands Castle venue, owned by Sir Benjamin Slade and located in Taunton. The venue is home to a charming 17th Century country house and beautiful garden pavilion overlooking lawns and woodland.

This festival aims to celebrate gin, fizz and food in the South West, offering a wonderful selection of local gins including Wicked Wolf Exmoor Gin, Exeter Gin, and Granny Garbutt’s Gin; Dartmoor Spirit Craft Distillery’s Ten Tor Seasonal Gin; and raspberry flavoured national favourite, Pinkster Gin. Devon-based Wellhayes Vineyard will be the guest fizz supplier showcasing their very own English sparkling wine.

Visitors will be warmly welcomed with a wrist band, gin guide and event schedule of what’s on. The event will run from 12noon and will close at 7pm. Adult tickets are £5.00, and children will be offered free entry as part of a family.

There will be a talented selection of South West food and drink suppliers serving up a feast at the festival including Artisan Stone Baked Pizza’s, the Notorious P.I.G. Hog Roast, Wheelie Tipsy’s Cocktail Bar and the fabulous Gin & Sin Company Gin & Tonic Bar. The event will also feature a ‘Pimp Your Prosecco’ station alongside various gin and prosecco cocktails.

The festival as an exciting line up of live music during the day; featuring Sadie Horler an acoustic singer song writer from Devon, fiddle and guitar folk Duo Mitchell & Vincent, smooth and swing vocalist Matt Hudson and Marnie an acoustic rock soul funk & blues guitarist and singer. Visitors will be able to relax outside on the lawn whilst listening to live performances on the house terrace.

Gertie the VW Photo Bus will be at the event with lots of wonderful vintage props to enjoy whilst posing for fun with friends and loved ones, Gertie will print the photos on the day for visitors.

Visitors can enjoy a cream tea at the Mad Hatter’s Tearoom, serving a variety of delicious homemade cakes including Lin C’s gin & tonic cake especially made for the event.

There will be lots of stalls for visitors to peruse including award winning local food and drink producers, garden crafts, gin cupcakes and cookies, boozy bakes, prosecco-based beauty products and lots more. There will be glitter face painting, lawn games including a coconut shy, hoopla and hook a duck, a vintage ice cream bike and a bouncy castle for the children.
