Aquarias Spa at Whatley Manor Hotel in Wiltshire offers a selection of spa experiences with the aim of restoring both body and mind to a new harmony. Following the introduction of Ila body treatments to the spa in 2012, Aquarias is set to introduce a choice of three new Ila facial treatments from January 2014.

The three new Ila facials are a 60-minute Ananda Face Therapy, a 75-minute Rainforest Rejuvenating Face Therapy and a 90-minute Marine Flora Face Therapy.

These facials will join the existing choice of body treatments that include rebalancing massages, detoxifying wraps, revitalising scrubs and well-being rituals. The artisan produced skin care range is free of synthetic chemicals and consists of carefully selected raw materials from ethical sources. These materials are then hand blended at ila’s Cotswold Barn.

Whatley Manor was the first hotel in the Cotswolds to feature Ila treatments and has worked closely with Ila to train the Aquarias Spa therapists to deliver them. The effort has led to Aquarias head therapist, Jodi Chivers, winning the ‘Ila Therapist of the Year’ award in 2013.

Ananda Face Therapy (60 minutes for £87)

Ananda means ‘divine bliss’ in Sanskrit. Ila asserts this relaxing face treatment which uses Damascena rose is suitable for all and gently works on specific energy points of the face and neck to help remove tension and toxins and stimulate energy flow.

Rainforest Rejuvenating Face Therapy (75 minutes for £105)

This restorative face therapy uses warm herbal compresses, lymphatic drainage, an Amazonian mud mask and rainforest plant extracts to try and rejuvenate and regenerate skin cells. Featuring Ila’s exclusive and sustainable blend of four bio-active Amazon plant extracts blended with naturally organic babassu oil, Ila say this face treatment will leave skin feeling firmer and more radiant.

Marine Flora Face Therapy (90 minutes for £122)

This deeply cleansing face therapy focuses on lymphatic drainage in an attempt to improve the circulation vitality and tone of the skin. It incorporates active ingredients from the sea and nerve point therapy, particularly recommended by Ila for those experiencing a high level of stress and anxiety.

Carol Osborne, Spa Manager at Aquarias Spa commented: “The Ila body treatments have been so popular with our guests and we are therefore very excited to be expanding the range to include the facials. Jodi and her team of therapists have received additional training to be able to deliver these very special treatments and we see this as an important step in developing our relationship with Ila”.

Other Ila body treatments available at Aquarias Spa include a 60-minute Kundalini Back Massage (£87), as well as 90-minute body treatments and two-hour rituals such as the ‘Ila-spa Dreamtime Journey’ (£172).

A one-night stay at Whatley Manor costs from £305 per room for a standard room including bed, full English breakfast, full use of the spa facilities, 10% discretionary service charge and vat. Ila-spa treatments cost from £87 for a 60-minute treatment, £122 for a 90-minute treatment, and the two-hour rituals cost from £156.
