Eaton Park, the home of the Duke and Duchess of Westminster, near Eccleston, Chester, was the grand setting for a ladies’ charity luncheon.

The occasion raised around £10,000 for the Babygrow Appeal which has a target of £3 million for a new special care baby unit at the Countess of Chester Hospital.

Guests at the event included appeal patrons, Lady Tamara van Cutsem and Julia Timpson, the wife of Crewe and Nantwich MP, Edward Timpson. A champagne reception held in the Long Room, was sponsored by Bennett Brooks and Co Ltd, followed by lunch in the Wolf Room.

Entertaining stories were provided by Graham Walton, the proud father of the world famous Liverpool sextuplets. He shared amusing tales of his life with seven women.
