The Barrington Boar, based in Barrington near Ilminster, recently held a special evening when it invited more than 50 selected guests to its official opening.
The pub has been completely renovated with its own restaurant and new bar area. The guests enjoyed free drinks and canapés for the evening, while the new owner Suzanne Weekes had the chance to meet the guests and tell them about her plans for the pub.
Tom Read, manager at Barrington Boar, said: “A pub with free drinks doesn’t happen very often, but we were delighted to do it. Since we opened our doors we have had great local support and this was our way to say ‘thank you’.”
