If you need a painting to fill a gap or a sculpture for the garden, but lack the time to get around enough galleries, then come to Cheltenham this April. If you just love art, there’s a new art fair at Cheltenham’s famous Racecourse that’s well worth a journey

Fresh: Art Fair brings together 46 leading UK Galleries showing nearly 5000 contemporary works of art by 400 artists. From emerging artists to Royal Academicians, visiting Fresh: is an easy and exciting way to see a huge choice of outstanding art all in one place.

Everyone is welcome at Fresh: from complete newcomers to established collectors, and with artworks ranging from £100 to £50,000 there will be a broad spectrum of original artworks to suit all tastes and budgets.

The debut Fresh: Art Fair in 2017 was a huge success attracting 4,300 visitors over 3 days. The event last year instantly established itself as a key player in the provincial art fair calendar. Described by one leading dealer as “the best contemporary art fair outside London”, the April 2018 show promises to push the bar still higher.

27 of the 2017 Exhibitors are returning, each with one or two new artists. They include Panter & Hall of Pall Mall and Gallery Different also from London; Lime Tree Gallery from Bristol and Brownston Gallery from Modbury in Devon.

New Galleries this year include the highly regarded John Davies Gallery from Moreton-in- Marsh and Gallery Pangolin, part of Pangolin Editions, the biggest sculpture foundry in Europe. From further afield there’ll be Byard Art from Cambridge; Carina Haslam Art; The Fine Art Consultancy of London and Tokyo; Cameron Contemporary; White Space Art and The Doorway Gallery, Dublin.

For the first time in the art fair world, there will be a dedicated outdoor Sculpture Park showing some 80 large outdoor pieces by 20 artists. Once again there will be painters and sculptors working live for visitors to watch and quiz, and there will again be a programme of Talks by art experts.

Fine Art Auctioneers Bonhams will be returning to advise visitors on selling their old art. Visitors are invited to bring a photograph and background information about any pre-contemporary work they might like to sell.

Arts Council supported Own Art will also be on site to make owning art easy and affordable, with interest free credit for purchases between £100 and £25,000 repayable over 10 months.

Fresh: Art Fair warmly welcomes anyone who would like to come along and enjoy the 2018 Fair from April 27-29 at the Cheltenham Racecourse. Weekend tickets are £6 per person on the door or only £8 for two online (click here to book). Private View tickets are £12 for two online, to include wine.
