Watch your favourite films with a difference as the Alfresco Cinema Company is set to screen popular movies throughout Gloucestershire this summer

Complete with comfy chairs and snacks, the Alfresco Cinema Company is coming to the Cotswolds to give film fans the opportunity for a unique movie watching experience.

The film screenings will include the likes of Dirty Dancing on Thursday July 6, as well as showings of other classic favourites such as Breakfast at Tiffany’s on Saturday July 22, and Moulin Rouge on Thursday August 3.

The company, which organises open air cinema events around the UK, will show films at Cheltenham’s Cowley Manor this July, August and September on a wide screen with cinema sound. In what is sure to be a unique experience, guests will watch film showings outside, allowing them to enjoy their favourite movies in a spectacular location.

Set against the stunning backdrop of Cowley Manor’s top lawn or by the swimming pool to create an unforgettable atmosphere, film-goers will be provided with bean bags, deck chairs and even popcorn to give the ultimate movie experience.

If you fancy making an evening of it, BBQ tickets will also be available with food provided by Cowley Manor’s restaurant Malt. As well as burgers and sausages, vegetarian options and salads will be provided so there will be something to suit everyone’s tastes.

The Alfresco Cinema Company is also moving further afield to the Forest of Dean, where film screenings will take place at the Forestry Commission’s Beechenhurst site, located near Coleford. In this picturesque location film showings include comedy Hot Fuzz on Thursday July 13, and the Oscar winning La La Land on Saturday July 15.

With the screening of Dirty Dancing already fully booked, tickets for these popular events are selling fast.
