An exhibition at The Old Library in Chester showcases the work of some of the pioneers of digital art.

The V&A exhibition, Chance and Control: Art in the Age of Computers features key artworks from the people who have led the way in the digital art world over the last 50 years.

The exhibition focuses on artwork created by artists and programmers who have used computers to create prints, drawings and paintings and includes work from Frieder Nake and Georg Nees who produced some of the earliest computer generated art.

The exhibition was made possible by funding by the Tyrer Charitable Trust. Clive Pointon, the Chairman of the Trust said: 'We're delighted to be continuing our work in bringing important works of art to the Cheshire region for people to see and enjoy.'
