The Westwoods Centre in Northleach will once again be transformed into a festive arena this November

The annual Christmas Bonanza provides a platform for local businesses and independent companies to showcase and promote their products and services. Now in its fifth year, the event prides itself on being non-profitable and almost entirely self-sufficient; all services such as web design, electrics and artwork are met by local businesses who in turn receive exposure at the event.

The Christmas Bonanza is the collaboration of four local women in business:

• Rachel Davies founded Retail Exchange, offering a specialist consultancy service to retail businesses

• Kate Pett is an artist who creates distinct, hand-painted wooden gifts, fabric handbags and many other creative products

• Heather Palethorpe founded Chadwick Photography focusing on vintage style wedding photography

• Vicki Gray is a graphic designer who founded Blumango Creative over 15 years ago, offering tailor-made packages for logo, brochure, website design and development

Vicki Gray explains that the idea of event is to allow “the wider community to buy local at a key seasonal buying period and build awareness to support these enterprises”.

Rachel Davies said: “It really is a stepping stone for local businesses. This area is full of creative talent, industry and entrepreneurial design. Some of our previous exhibitors have expanded to supply the likes of Waitrose, Fortnum & Mason and Tesco. To reach our fifth year is an incredible achievement and we are excited for this year’s Birthday Christmas Bonanza!”
