Spiro

Imaginative acoustic group Spiro will be taking to The Roses Theatre stage on Friday April 24.

Spiro have been performing their own unique blend of Northumbrian traditional tunes for 20 years, releasing three albums and entertaining audiences around the country.

Tickets cost £13.75 with concessions available.

Raymond Froggatt

Raymond Froggatt (Froggie, as he’s affectionately know) returns to The Roses on Sunday April 26 at 7.30pm to celebrate more than 50 years in show business. Not long into his career with his band ‘The Monopoly’, he was signed by top record labels, leading to a major publishing house which resulted in his songs being performed internationally by the likes of Cliff Richard and The Dave Clark Five.

Froggie’s loyal fans often arrive clutching their frogs, passionately singing along to their favourite songs wearing their green scarves. This evening offers a unique opportunity to see and listen to Froggie up close and personal.

Tickets cost £19.25 with concessions available.

Sunjay

Sunjay comes to The Roses Theatre on Tuesday April 28 for a special concert in the bar, bringing a blend of folk and blues that has gained him a clutch of award nominations. He made the final selection for the BBC’s Young Folk Award in 2012, had three nominations at the Exposure Music Awards 2014 and was also recognised by the 2014 British Blues Awards.

He clocked over a hundred tour dates in 2013 supporting the likes of Steeleye Span, Martin Simpson, Passenger, and Terry Reid, and released his third album in late 2014.

All tickets cost £9.75

Kathryn Roberts & Sean Lakeman

Kathryn Roberts and Sean Lakeman are returning to the folk scene with their new album Tomorrow Will Follow Today, and a performance at The Roses on Wednesday April 29 April.

Sean Lakeman plied his trade travelling the world with folk pop stars ‘Equation’, then went on to produce for his brother Seth, garnering awards and a wall full of gold and silver records along the way.

Kathryn Roberts and Sean Lakeman later formed an acoustic duo with a focus on the roots of English folk music, resulting in a ‘Best Duo’ award from the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards.

Tickets cost £15.75 with concessions available.
