Over £100,000 profit for the Didsbury-based hospice

Classic Hollywood took over the Mere Golf Resort and Spa in Knutsford as Francis House Children’s Hospice staged a night of glitz and glamour.

Guests were greeted with a champagne reception, followed by a three course meal and entertainment by The Rat Pack is Back Again. DJ Kenny Lynch kept the dance floor full with classic tunes, with over 400 guests dancing through to the early hours.

Auctions hosted by Bargain Hunt’s Thomas Plant, helped to raise over £100,000 profit for the Didsbury-based hospice.

Lucy Thompson, events manager, said: ‘We must say a big thank you to all our guests for their incredible support and generosity. All the money raised goes directly to the hospice which give children and young people with life limiting conditions and their families the care they need at this special time of year.’
