Bioidentical hormones are quite similar to conventional hormone replacement therapy, but bioidentical hormones are compounds that are identical in chemical structure to human hormones. This means that bioidentical hormones act and behave exactly the same as the natural occurring hormones in the human body. What are the benefits of this? Bio-identical hormones are developed bespoke to your own body's requirements, unlike NHS prescribed treatments which are very much one size fits all.

How does the treatment work and what is unique about RF at SkinFirst?
Radio frequency is a generic term for a mode of heat delivery below the epidermis. All ages, with lines/wrinkles/slack skin on face e.g loose jowls, droopy eyelids, crows feet, forehead creases, smokers lines; and for body e.g cellulite, arms and stomach. Plexr Plus is a new way to treat hooded upper eyelids and laxity of the lower eyelids, without the need for surgery. It is also useful for treating fine lines, e.g. around the eyes and mouth. The main benefit over surgery is that Plexr Plus carries an extremely low risk of serious side effects, such as infection, pigmentation or scarring.
Does your product require any recovery time?
The recovery time is similar to surgery or laser. We ask our patients to relax at home for 5 days after Plexr Plus and use only the antiseptic ointment and specially formulated camouflage we supply. On day 6 patients can go back to their usual skin care regime and make up.
Who is Plexr Plus best suited for?
We assess every patient to make sure that Plexr Plus is a good treatment option for them. Our dermatology specialists will determine the degree of skin laxity and consider potential contra-indications. Some patients have a high degree of laxity, in which case 2-3 treatments every 2-3 months may be required. Other options such as surgery or laser will be considered when appropriate.
How long does Plexr Plus last?
It should last for years. As well as oblitering lax skin and flattening fine lines, most patients get a useful degree of collagen regeneration in the treated skin. Should they be required, top up treatments are usually less extensive or costly, with shorter down-times.

Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy is also known as the vampire facial. The treatment works on the basis that the body's own natural healing properties can be used to combat the signs of ageing. PRP is also being used in the restoration of thinning hair. A small sample of blood is taken from the patient and spun down in a centrifuge to separate out the platelet rich plasma. Platelets contain a high concentration of growth factors/proteins which, when re-injected, trigger surrounding cells to stimulate the body's healing and repair process. This triggers new collagen formation, or in the case of hair restoration it stimulates hair follicle growth when applied to the scalp.
What are the benefits of this?
Unlike filler, PRP is a natural way of improving the appearance of the skin, improving its texture and reducing lines and wrinkles.
Who is your product best suited for?
This therapy is suitable for anyone concerned about the appearance of their skin, whether it be lines, acne scars, stretch marks or lacklustre dehydrated skin. It is also useful for those who are worried about thinning hair for whatever reason, including alopecia.
What do you believe are the emerging 2020 wellbeing trends?

Non-surgical Rhinoplasty Klass Aesthetics
What are the benefits of a Non-surgical Rhinoplasty?
A non-surgical rhinoplasty produces immediate results, unlike the surgical option that can take months for swelling to reduce to reveal the final result. A non-surgical rhinoplasty is performed by injecting a dermal filler made of Hyaluronic Acid into specific areas in the nose. There is minimal swelling and bruising with the non-surgical option, which usually subsides within 24-48 hours. What are the benefits?
The Morpheus8 treatment uses a probe with micropins to heat the deeper layers of the skin. Results begin to appear within a few days but the most noticeable results take a few weeks.
The FaceTite offers improvement in skin laxity without the scarring and downtime associated with a facelift procedure. This procedure uses a probe placed beneath the skin to heat and tighten the skin.
There are many energy-based devices on the market but the Morpheus8 and BodyTite/FaceTite have published research studies showing the benefits compared to other devices.

The most common treatment areas include the jowls, neck, jawline and chin area. The procedures are also commonly used on the body to improve skin laxity of the tummy, arms and legs.
