Liverpool Football Club chief executive Peter Moore, took a break from the club’s record-breaking season to hold a special dinner at Liverpool’s most scenic restaurant, Panoramic 34, in aid of The Clatterbridge Cancer Charity.

The event brought together LFC legends John Barnes, Jamie Carragher, Ian Rush and Phil Thompson who entertained guests with tales from their time representing the reds, for whom they made more than 2,000 appearances. The lucky 60 guests were also in the company of some significant silverware, in the form of the Champions League Trophy, European Super Cup and World Club Cup. The evening raised more than £30,000 for the charity, which will be used to build Liverpool’s first cancer hospital. This flagship facility is set to open this summer and will be a crucial element of Clatterbridge’s long-term strategy to improve cancer outcomes in Merseyside and Cheshire.
