Great British Menu star and Anglesey super chef Ellis Barrie served up a taste of his much-lauded restaurant The Marram Grass at a special event at Restaurant 1539 at Chester Racecourse.

The owner of the successful Anglesey restaurant did a two-night celebration of his food, bringing Anglesey to the city-centre dining destination with a special six-course tasting menu, with wine carefully selected from the team at 1539.

Guests dined on Menai oysters, chocolate cremeux and home-reared pork, from Ellis's own farm, with Anglesey Jerusalem artichoke, which gave diners a taste of the new restaurant set to open in Liverpool next month.
