Carla Rankin remembered in charity event.

Over 375 guests celebrated what would have been Carla Rankin’s 30th birthday at a Great Gatsby themed charity ball.

The stylish One in a Million ball at the Hilton Hotel, Manchester, raised over £30,000 for Epilepsy Action. Organised by Carla’s parents, Ian and Denise Rankin, and sister Felicity, the event was an opportunity to raise awareness and money, while also celebrating Carla’s life. She passed away after an epileptic seizure at a tragically young age.

Denise Rankin, from Prestbury, said: ‘It was a fabulous night in Gatsby style. Carla loved that era so that’s why we picked the 1920s’ theme. We were so delighted with the amount of people who came and raised money for such a great cause.’
