The Plumley Village Fete celebrated its 60th anniversary with a 1950s vintage themed day. The event was opened by Knutsford Mayor Neil Forbes, and just under 200 people attended to enjoy the entertainment.

Knutsford fire crew arrived with a fire engine and smoke demo tent, and some visitors brought along their vintage cars for the procession. The craft fair proved popular and the Plumley Women’s Institute provided refreshments and cake. Scarlet Broadbent, 13, was crowned 2014 Plumley Rose Queen.

Organiser Sarah Sanderson said: ‘It went really well especially considering the weather - which held off for us in the end. This year was our third year organising the annual fun day and Michelle (co-organiser) and I really tried to pull out all the stops to make it bigger and better. I feel we managed this with bells on!’
