Funds raised for BMI The Alexandra Hospital, Cheadle

Over £15,000 was raised for the Manchester-based charity Prevent Breast Cancer at a La La Land themed ball for BMI The Alexandra Hospital, Cheadle.

The event, at the Midland Hotel in Manchester, was part of the hospital’s 35th anniversary celebrations and was organised by Entertainment Today. Colleagues, patients and staff came together to celebrate the hospital’s milestone and raise money to fund research into the prediction and prevention of breast cancer.

Celebrities from Cheshire and Manchester attended, including Coronation Street’s Kym Marsh who performed with her daughter, Emilie. Pam Glass, trustee of Prevent Breast Cancer, said: ‘This was a really fabulous event for a vital cause and the money will be used to fund life-saving research.’
