Ladies were dressed to impress at a charity lunch held in aid of the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital.

The Sparkle in the City fashion lunch at Manchester’s Midland Hotel was attended by over 200 guests, including Coronation Street actress and charity patron, Faye Brookes. Guests helped to raise over £26,000 towards a project to transform treatment rooms at the hospital’s Child and Adolescent Mental Health Unit.

A champagne reception with Christmas stalls greeted guests, followed by a three course lunch with entertainment from Manchester-based singer Kimm and swing and jazz singer Paul Pashley.

The event, hosted by Heart North West Radio presenter, Lorna Bancroft, also featured a fashion show with clothes from celebrity fashion designer, Nadine Merabi’s collection and the Alderley Edge boutique, Runway

Sue Lunt, hospital director, said: ‘We are incredibly grateful to every single person who attended Sparkle in the City, donated prizes, or helped in any way possible.’
