Famous faces from the world of sport joined stars of screen and stage at the star-studded bash.

Over 400 glamorous guests partied the night away at the launch party of The Alchemist Bar and Restaurant in Liverpool.

Guests were told their fortunes by an intriguing Zoltar machine. As well as enjoying signature Alchemist cocktails, canapes and the theatrical delights of a nitrous ice cream parlour, a saxophonist and DJ ensured that the party went with a swing.

The Alchemist, on Brunswick Street, has already impressed guests with its unusual style of molecular mixology and craftsmanship. The menu is an amalgamation of comfort food and cult classics, available all day including favourites such as blackened salmon, prawn lollipops and sticky beef salad.

Simon Potts, managing director, said: ‘The feedback we have had during our first weeks of trading has been really wonderful - from delight in the design, to how friendly our staff are. I am delighted that so many people have been able to enjoy the launch party.’
