The inaugural Caudwell Children’s ladies’ lunch was held at The Mere Golf Resort and Spa, and raised over £21,000 for disabled children in the UK.

The glamorous occasion was attended by over 120 ladies (and three men!) including the ‘Real Cheshire Housewives’ Dawn Ward, Tanya Bardsley and Leanne Brown. Guests enjoyed champagne while browsing stalls set up by retailers of luxury goods before sitting down to a gourmet lunch. Entertainment was provided by TV stars Tom Lister and Dean Andrews.

Sam Irwin, events co-ordinator at Caudwell Children, said: ‘We are thrilled with the response to our first ladies’ lunch event. The money raised will directly impact the lives of disabled children from across the region. All of this was made possible thanks to our sponsors, Meredith Solicitors and Holiday Hamsters, all of our stall holders and our very glamorous guests.’ w
