Want to swap homemade chutney for eggs? Onions for Cakes? Provided it’s homemade, home-grown or foraged, bring it to The Great Cotswold Food Swap at Berry Farm and you can swap it! No money changes hands, food is the only currency.
The Great Cotswold Food Swap, taking place from 10:30am until 12:30pm on July 13, is an opportunity for anyone who grows, forages or makes their own food, to swap excess produce with others. The event will last about two hours; the first hour will be dedicated to sampling and chatting to the other participants, swapping recipes and tips, with the second hour spent placing bids, weighing up their offers and then exchanging their goods. At the end of the swap at 12:30pm, the farm gate will be opened and the public are welcome to join in and buy any left-over produce.
There is a limited number of spaces for small local businesses to join in and bring their own produce, although participation in the event is free.
