The Pointing Dog in Cheadle Hulme hosted a charity dinner in aid of Francis House Children’s Hospice.

Guests were treated to a glass of fizz on arrival, followed by a five course meal and lively music from The Retrosettes. A raffle raised £1,000 for the Didsbury-based hospice which cares for very sick children and their families.

Jenny Kershaw, event organiser and manager of the Pointing Dog, said: ‘I had always wanted to do a charity event. After hearing about Francis House I thought they were an amazing charity and would be great to raise money for. It was a really good evening and everyone enjoyed themselves.’
