The Red Sea Pedestrians raised £225,000 at their eighth charity ball at the Lowry Hotel.

Organised by Kate Park Events and sponsored by Stocktons, Beaverbrooks the Jewellers, Pretty by Quest and Premex Services, the annual event was held in aid of The Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital. The glamorous setting saw 250 of Manchester and Cheshire’s biggest business names attend and take part in a live auction, which included prizes such as an evening with Jonathan Ross. Comedian Peter Kay made a surprise visit, auctioning the opportunity to be an extra in his upcoming television series, raising over £44,000.

Antony Wagman, chair of trustees of RSP, said: ‘We are absolutely overwhelmed by the generosity of our guests. We raised an incredible amount of money for an incredibly worthy cause.’
