Guests ensured that the final Tim Parry Johnathan Ball Foundation For Peace ball was a fantastic success, with £15,200 raised for the Warrington based charity.

Held at The Park Royal Hotel, Stretton, the ball featured entertainment sponsored by Paul Kennedy, including live music from Wayne Farrow, a casino and photo booth.

Colin and Wendy Parry, parents of Tim Parry who died alongside Johnathan Ball in the 1993 Warrington IRA bomb attacks, have been organising fundraising occasions and balls for the foundation for 18 years. Wendy said: ‘I am getting too old for all the stress that goes with these events, but on the night of the ball, everyone was saying this shouldn’t be the last as it’s too good not to do it every year! I may do something around ‘One World Peace Day’ next September and we will hold an event in March 2018 for the 25th anniversary of the bombing.’
