Founded by legendary sailor Sir Robin Knox-Johnston, the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race is the only race of its kind which trains everyday people to experience the thrill and exhilaration of ocean racing. Established in 1996, the biennial event gives people from all walks of life and around the world the opportunity to achieve something remarkable.
A 40,000nm epic journey taking eleven months to complete, crew members can sign up for the whole circumnavigation, to cross an ocean or combine several legs.

WIN a tour of the ocean racing fleet and meet race crew!
The winner and their guest will be the first guests to tour the magnificent ocean racing fleet on its arrival in England on completion of an extraordinary 40,000nm endurance challenge around the globe.
This unique opportunity and immersive experience above and below deck will include a personalised tour of a stripped-out Clipper70 and the chance to meet Race Crew who have spent up to eleven months as an ocean-racer. Berthed at The Royal Albert Dock, the yacht tour will be tailored to the winner’s capability.
The winner will also receive an exclusive Clipper Round the World Yacht Race goody bag.

Members of the public may view the yachts from 11am - 4pm on Sunday 29 July. The Liverpool 2018 yacht will remain at The Royal Albert Dock for the public to view between Monday 30 July and Sunday 5 August 2018.
The Clipper70 fleet is the largest matched fleet of ocean racing yachts in the world. Race Crew come from all walks of life and more than 40 nations. Trained to become ocean racers they can become one of the few people to circumnavigate the world.
