Chris Glover, Churchill Theatre, Bromley
For the past six years, Chris has been in charge of every aspect of running the town's popular theatre, which has a reputation for staging exciting new works. "Our red-carpet premieres are something of a speciality," he says. "Audiences love them and they certainly bring a touch of razzmatazz to the area."
Chris's local life
"There's a real sense of things going on here - and it's all on our doorstep."

Park
Church House Gardens include a lake and an amphitheatre that plays host to events during the summer. Beautifully planted, there's always something to admire here, whatever the time of year.
Family fun
Ten-pin bowling is an option right in the heart of town, in the Pavilion centre - an activity that my teenage children are always happy to join in with.

Pub
The Partridge  on the High Street tends to be where cast and crew meet up post-show. It's in a lovely building with a Victorian feel, and you can get great local ales there.

Food
There are plenty of good options in pedestrianised East Street, and we especially enjoy the fresh, simply cooked seafood at Aqua.

Janice Ozgenturk, Cakes by J
For the past 15 years, Janice has lived in the Bromley area, together with her husband Oz and son and daughter, aged 12 and 10. From her home she produces all sorts of cakes, from occasion pieces for weddings and birthdays, to cakes "just because people fancy a slice of something delicious"
Janice's local life
"Bromley offers great schools for our children and a really good quality of life."

Kids
Another vote for Church House Gardens! People don't realise it's here - but there's a great play area for children with a big sand pit, plus tennis courts that are free to use.

Movies
We love the Vue cinema in St Mark's Square - it's no more expensive than average, but there's a touch of luxury because the seats recline. Nearby Nando's and Pizza Express make it a great choice for a family evening out.

Top shops
I really appreciate the town's range of stores and the manageable scale of the High Street. As well as chain stores in The Glades there are independent boutiques I like further afield in the Borough too - Lanta B on West Wickham High Street, for instance, is great for fashion and smaller accessories like bags and scarves.

Walks
Open spaces are also close to hand, and we like heading off f or a walk in the woods near Keston, then for brunch afterwards at Daisy Grey.

Stephen Tolmie, writer and former teacher
Stephen has lived in Bromley with his wife Bella for over 22 years. They have two adult children who, he says, benefitted from living in a borough "that's a mix of green spaces and easy access to things to do"

Local footie
Bromley Football Club has been really successful recently, winning the FA Trophy in 2021-22 season, and they've got a great community outreach programme, working with schools. Bromley Belles is a great women's team that offers anyone over the age of 30 the chance to play, even if they've never played before.

Open Book
Bromley Library has an excellent photographic archive - ideal for anyone researching their local history, and you'll find displays about local authors such as Enid Blyton and HG Wells.

Park and ride
Norman Park is another of the town's excellent open spaces and plays host to various events throughout the year. The Bromley Pageant of Motoring, for instance, is held here every summer.

Good food
Within the borough, we like to treat ourselves to dinner at Corza in West Wickham - though the food is delicious throughout the day. You can enjoy steaks and seafood simply but beautifully prepared and they have live music in the evenings, too.

Darren Springer, businessman
Darren opened retro-style sweet shop Mr Simms in 2016, rebranding it as Lolli's in 2021. He's a director of local initiative, Your Bromley.

Darren's local life: "I'm a people person and I really like the opportunities Bromley affords to be part of our community."

The Churchill Theatre
Great for our business as people buy sweets from us before the shows, great for me as I really enjoy the stand-up comedy that regularly plays here

Swim time
The Pavilion swimming pool keeps my daughter entertained - it's even got waves and flumes.

The Market
It's on three days a week in the High Street and you can get everything here from fresh fish to clothes - it helps make the town feel really buzzy.

Caribbean Treat
I love restaurant Rhythm & Thyme - they serve the best Ackee and saltfish in Bromley!
