About The Lygon Arms

Situated within the idyllic Cotswolds village of Broadway in Worcestershire lies the four-star Lygon Arms country house hotel. With roots dating back to the 14th century, The Lygon Arms is steeped in history, and remainders of the vast Tudor influence are visibly appreciated in the superb restoration of original features. The Lygon Arms boasts two new restaurants in addition to a variety of relaxed lounges, a dedicated afternoon tea room and a summer alfresco courtyard. Alongside this is the The luxurious Lygon Spa, and 86 guest rooms, including the regally appointed Charles I suite. The next chapter at The Lygon Arms has recently been crafted as homage to its origins and gateway to its future standing. Today the Lygon Arms displays quintessentially Cotswolds and timeless design, and offers the highest standards of service, gastronomy, and comfort, whilst keeping the piece of history that makes The Lygon Arms unique.

About Lygon Bar & Grill

The Lygon Arms Bar & Grill is a labour of love for head chef Ales Maurer, who throughout his career has opted to work in British manor houses and iconic buildings steeped in history. Trained in Prague, where he gained vast experience running the top hotels and his own restaurant, Maurer has found that his passion and creativity lies in British cuisine and ingredients. Influenced by the colourful stories ingrained in a building’s past, Ales Maurer has firmly secured his feet at The Lygon Arms, where he is heading the rejuvenated culinary venture, The Lygon Bar & Grill. Inspired by The Lygon Arms’ English heritage, Ales has created a seasonal British menu that celebrates fantastic local ingredients in a relaxed yet imaginative way. The highest-quality produce is at the heart of all dishes, and has stemmed from friendly and sustainable rapports with Cotswolds suppliers, farmers and artisans to produce a varied à la carte menu. The refreshed restaurant space showcases a world-class design from London-based interior designer Anita Rosato, who presents a relaxed and informal eating space, with influence drawn from the rural Cotswold’s setting, exposed through classic leathers and marbling. Opening hours for The Lygon Bar & Grill are 7am - 10.30am, 12pm - 9.30pm with the Cocktail Bar open from 7.00pm.
